The 618/710MA.C4 FAG is a narrow, single-row deep groove ball bearing with an inner diameter of no less than 710 mm. This bearing has a very high radial load capacity. It can also accommodate limited axial loads in both directions. This open bearing is suitable for heavy industrial applications, typically involving an oil bath or grease chamber. As the machine runs, re-lubrication occurs automatically, ensuring a longer lifespan.
The 618/710MA.C4 FAG is equipped with a brass cage. It is robust and resistant to shocks, vibrations, and high temperatures. Additionally, brass is softer than steel or cast iron. In the rare event that the bearing seizes, damage to iron machine components, such as gears, is minimised. Narrow deep groove ball bearings with an inner diameter of at least 500 mm are rarely used as the main bearing. They are typically used as an additional support point in heavy drives or shaft suspensions.
