The 29317E FAG is a spherical roller thrust bearing. This type of bearing can handle high radial loads and extremely high axial loads in one direction simultaneously. The specially designed raceways of this bearing accommodate a large number of asymmetrical rolling elements. These rollers transfer the load from one raceway to another. This occurs at an angle relative to the bearing axis, while a flange on the shaft ring guides the rollers.
