The 21312-E1-XL FAG is a spherical roller bearing. This bearing type has a solid inner ring, which runs on two rows of symmetrical rollers in a solid outer ring. The outer ring has a concave, spherical raceway. This design compensates for any alignment errors and shaft deflections. Spherical roller bearings can withstand particularly high radial loads. The 21312-E1-XL FAG is an X-life type bearing. X-life bearings provide better performance than normal spherical roller bearings due to a special internal construction. Contact surfaces, steel grade and rolling bodies are of a higher quality. X-life bearings combine a higher load capacity with a longer service life. The bearings generate less heat and allow for higher speeds. Finally, X-life bearings allow for longer maintenance intervals compared to normal spherical roller bearings.
