The NUP2224-E-XL-TVP2-C4 FAG is a single-row cylindrical roller bearing with cage. This bearing consists of a solid inner and outer ring with cylindrical rollers in a cage. This cage prevents contact between the cylinder rollers, so this bearing type can support higher speeds than full-complement cylinder roller bearings. Also, single-row cylindrical roller bearings with cages are very rigid and they can take high radial forces. The NUP2224-E-XL-TVP2-C4 FAG is a single-row cylindrical bearing with NUP design. The outer ring has two rigid ribs, while the inner ring has one rigid and one loose rib. As a result, this bearing can take radial forces as well as axial forces in both directions. NUP bearings are used as locating bearings. Locating bearings locate a shaft axially in both directions.
The NUP2224-E-XL-TVP2-C4 FAG is an X-life type cylindrical roller bearing. X-life bearings provide better performance than normal cylindrical roller bearings due to a special internal construction. Contact surfaces, steel grade and rolling bodies are of a higher quality. X-life bearings combine a higher load capacity with a longer service life. The bearings generate less heat and allow for higher speeds. Finally, X-life bearings allow for longer maintenance intervals compared to normal cylindrical roller bearings.
